Richard - another great photo !  Down 9.5 percent is not too bad as I would imagine that specific sales price is quite high for the area ?

What a gorgeous home in the picture!  I agree with the Somers team, 9.5% down is a good place to be!

Christopher and Stephanie:

Thanks, it's a house I am are building in River Vale, Northern Bergen County is a high end market. The Data is also yearly average comparisons. I suppose high to low tick would be somewhat more. That is the highest ever sale and the current lowest. I estimate that would be more like 15%.

Renee: Thank you on the photo, we are blessed here verses much of the country. We didn't have the same conditions. This is a pretty fully developed area with only minor infill building.

Best,

Richard

Richard, I don't think I've ever seen any of your listings that wasn't a gorgeous home...

Rich look like another great home. I like your rotating photos on the side bar. That is an excellent idea for marketing your work.

Hi Joyce,I altualcy roamed over to your blog via a twitter post from OC Restaurant Week and read your bio.I found it interesting that you are an RN and now work in real estate. My educational background is in Computer Programming. I worked at a sub-prime mortgage company for 3 years after college (please don't blame me, I was only in the Loan Servicing Department / IT guy). While I was there I got really interested in the business and had always wanted to get into it, but then the market crashed and the company closed down. After that job I got my current job as a Database Programmer. Although I like my work I find myself with plenty of free time after 5 and on the weekedns and not as much income as I would like. What are your opinions on part time real estate careers? I know when I was looking for a home, I always made appointments after the usual 8 hour work day. It this something I can do after 5pm? I don't know the difference between an agent, broker, etc. Where should I start in terms of training and getting license, etc.Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.Mike.
