Worry, Fear, Complacency, Disbelief, Anger, Crashing Markets, this has all happened before!

Those of you that read my blogs probably have notice I am very direct and forceful in my thoughts and advise. I don't mean to be like this, but I write about what I am very confident in my expertise. I would not write about medicine, steel making, dog walking or anything I haven't devoted much thought and study.

So when I write about Real Estate if you looked at my profile you see why I am direct in my approach. You also will notice in my blogs I have studied markets, trading and the psychology of both for well over 30 years. When I say I study, I mean I have been obsessed with the proposition that I could understand them. Late nights on the computer writing and running programs to trade and analyze behavior of markets. I started doing this in 1982 with the first model 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 Radio Shack computers.

Boring! However, it helped me call market turns over the past 2 plus decades. My close associates have experienced this for many years.

If I am boring you I am sorry, but I needed to lead up for this.  The government has frozen again. Most of the people we have elected are just suits. If you don't know what that means I will explain. They look and act like they are the real thing but they haven't got a clue. They can speak, they can dress, they can have useless conversation and they know how to disagree. You see, just disagreeing is a way to hide your own ignorance. The thing to do is to suggest a better idea, not just saying no.

Growing up in a family business that dealt with many large corporation and their top executives taught me about protocol and statesmanship. They seem to show style, character, knowledge and feelings of being capable and confident of their ways. They generally had stature. These people were predictable and understandable.

When I met a person in business outside of these parameters I knew to keep my guard up they had other agendas, not necessarily what was obvious.

This secondary type, is how I see politicians. Instead of the agenda being clear and precise, it is always with a twist and a purpose other than the cause at hand. In business I could never get anything done with people who were outside the parameters and you know neither can this country.

These Politian's have too many agendas; which get in the way of good, intelligent, well meaning professionals. When working on resolving one problem, they don't have to throw blame around for the others. The idea is to get the job done and move ahead.

Maybe email your representative and say:

Please, do something that will get us out of this jam without disagreeing with out alternate ideas to propose.

The Politian's that say the most, have been most responsible for the failures. I am sorry I'm going back on giving names.

Nancy Pelosi, California D REP.

California has 1/3 of the bad loans in the country. They are her constituents she is to help, not left hung out, while she condemns other people for why we're here.

Barney Frank D Rep Chairperson Congressional Banking Committee:

He pushed Fannie and Freddie to do more loans to less qualified low and medium income people and to broaden the standards to approve loans for everyone.

What I like to see is real old time statements, who respected their foe and believed a good debate to advance an idea or issue should be a "gentleman's (gentleperson's) debate". They carry themselves with respect for others and gain that same respect from all. They have no hidden agendas and lay their cards on the table. All in an effort to get their job done in a appropriate manner. The job or office stays bigger then them. It was said that the office of the President is greater than any man that has held it. Any President that held it right always understood that. The same goes for our Senators and Congressman and all the way to local government. Their office must be respected or they must leave it.

When I was a kid I looked up to people with character and held them in special esteem. I don't have those feeling anymore.

I wonder how our children feel?

By the way the title refers to 1929-1932!

Sorry for the noise. :)
